British Wild Boar

British Wild boar has been created to increase awareness and understanding of this tremendously interesting animal. The site acts as a focal point for news, views and opinions on all issues concerning wild boar. The site is non-judgemental, non-moralistic and simply reports factually on all the issues surrounding Britain's returning wild boar population. The site does not encourage the reintroduction of wild boar into Britain, nor does it discourage it.

Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and we are passionately committed to saving Britain's rarest little animals, everything from bees to beetles, and spiders to snails.

Report seeing a snake

Snakes are often secretive animals and surprisingly, even when people do see them, they are not often recorded. Consequently even now we don’t know as much about their distribution or how it is changing as we would like.

St John's churchyard in New Alresford

Over 2009 and 2010 a wildlife survey has been initiated by the Alresford Wildlife Group. The survey is looking at the animals and plants which make the churchyard their home. Southern_Marsh_Orchid

It is intended to update the survey and to produce a series of interpretation boards for the churchyard to explain more about the interesting wildlife which lives within and around the churchyard.

If you would like to help with the survey please contact Jon 733932 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
