Transport
The AGC transport group aims to explore ways to reduce reliance on car travel. We aim to highlight the possible reasons why people use their cars rather than public transport and try to find ways to improve alternative means of travel.
Issues with
Transport
25% of all UK carbon emissions come from the way we travel.
A local transport meeting held at ARC in 2009 highlighted many of the concerns residents have with regard to local public transport providers;
- The high cost of travel on buses make it an expensive alternative to car tavel when there is more than one person travelling
- Inconvenient start and finish time of Stagecoach service is a problem for commuters and anyone wishing to travel from Winchesterin the evening
- Lack of understanding with regard to how the Cango service operates

Cango is a bus service that can respond to your needs - the route is not fixed, but is flexible and the bus can travel here and there as needed.
